Abstract

A 47-year-old male patient was referred to the division of nuclear medicine for evaluation of a sudden onset of anterior chest pain. Stress and 4 hour redistribution scan of 20T1 shows a persistent perfusion defect in the septal area with redistribution
of 201TI in the inferior wall (Fig. 1). 99mTc
pyrophosphate SPECT performed simultaneously with 201T1 redistribution scan shows a hot uptake in the septal area (Fig. 2). Therefore, acute myocardial infarction in the septum with myocardial ischemia in the inferior wall of the left ventricle.
